Everyday Language Guides: The Journey
|
The Everyday Language Learner is the story of a journey. It's a journey that started in 2008, when my family and I moved from rural South Dakota to Istanbul, Turkey. I was a teacher; I still am. In our move to Turkey though, I became a student. A language student.
I had the privilege of joining a host of other expats on the journey and it offered me a rare insight into the life of a language learner. My ESL background and my teacher instincts kicked in and I began to work to help others on the journey to learn Turkish. Over the next year, through word of mouth and The Everyday Language Learner blog, ideas grew into books, sharing insight evolved into coaching and today, helping others learn language well is what I do. The Everyday Language Guides storefront is a place where you will find ebooks, digital products and other resources that have been created by language learners. The EDLL Guides are ones I created. Everything else comes from learners like yourself. You can learn more by visiting one of the links to the left. |
